The Alaska Legislature on Tuesday rejected one in all Governor Mike Dunleavy’s nominees for the College of Alaska’s Board of Regents.
The Alaska Beacon stated that the rejected individual was Bethany Marcum, who’s the previous head of the Alaska Coverage Discussion board, a nonprofit that promotes conservative insurance policies.
Legislators cited Marcum’s assist for the governor’s proposal (later withdrawn) to chop the college finances by 41 %.
