A brand new ballot by Reuters/Ipsos discovered that 62 p.c of Individuals say race and ethnicity shouldn’t be thought of in any respect in school admissions, Reuters reported.
The general public opinion ballot, which surveyed 4,408 adults from Feb. 6 to 13, discovered that 73 p.c of Republicans and 46 p.c of Democrats mentioned they’re in opposition to race-conscious admissions, or affirmative motion.
Sixty-seven p.c of white respondents mentioned they have been in opposition to contemplating race in any respect in admissions, in contrast with 52 p.c of minority respondents.
